Recently, I was showing Julie some old Ring Fever episodes as well as pictures of celebrities that I met before we were friends, dating – or married. Based on her reaction to what I asked her to watch – I came to a very clear conclusion…

…Julie married me way too late.

Since we have been together, she has met, through my connections, Ben Bailey from Cash Cab, Walt Willey from All My Children – and Superfly Jimmy Snuka – but if she was around “back in the day” – she has no idea the amount of celebrities she would have met.

During the heyday of Ring Fever, she would have met half of the WWE roster. From The Undertaker, to Shawn Michaels and Triple H – to her favorite – Chris Jericho. On the TNA wrestling side, she would have met Kurt Angle, Kevin Nash – and even Hulk Hogan. If that is not torturous enough for her – she also would have met – outside the squared circle – the finalists from the first season of American Idol, Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker – and the entire cast of her favorite soap opera – All My Children – including Susan Lucci.

Whenever I show her a picture or a video of “back then” when I met a famous person that she would love to meet – she always has the same reaction – her eyes get thin and she says, “You bastard!” While I know she doesn’t mean that in a literal sense – I know that she wishes she was right there with me – and so do I.

I know that she would have had the best time with me back in those days. She would have been like a kid in a candy store. A part of me actually feels bad that she was not with me during those encounters – because I can only imagine the reaction Julie would have had if she would have met some of these famous people. But the good news is that I am currently working on resurrecting Ring Fever – with the first set of interviews being May 3rd in Orlando, Florida during a live broadcast of TNA IMPACT!, which means that if I play my cards right – Julie will meet a slew of celebrities going forward.

I just hope that if I do once again mingle with superstars – that she does not leave me for Chris Jericho – but all I can do is hope.
